  2. AmiCom ist ein recht einfaches, aber außerordentlich stabil laufendes und
  3. schnelles Programm für die Amateurfunk-Betriebsart "Packet Radiu".  Es ist
  4. vermutlich auch für CB-Packet Radio geeignet.

  6. Es benötigt zum Betrieb ein TNC2 mit WA8DED-Hostmode und/oder KISS-Mode
  7. oder ein BayCom-kompatibles Modem.

  10. WICHTIG!

  12. Sie können AmiCom leider nicht von der CD aus starten, da es eine
  13. Konfigurationsdatei im selben Verzeichnis wie das Programm erwartet!
  14. Kopieren Sie das Programm auf Festplatte und aendern Sie in der Datei

  16.     konfig.ac
  17.  
  18. mindestens den Eintrag MYCALL, den Treiber, den sie verwenden
  19. moechten (HOST.drv, KISS.drv, oder BayCom.drv).

  21. Auch die Seriell-Baudrate sollte passen. Ändern Sie alle anderen Parameter
  22. nach Ihren Bedürfnissen, s. Anleitung.

  24. Das normale Helpfile ist auf deutsch und englisch, in den Doc-Verzeichnissen
  25. für französisch und italienisch sind alternative Helpfiles, bei denen der
  26. "Englische" Teil jeweils auf französisch bzw. italienisch ist. Einfach das file
  27. help.ac im Programmverzeichnis ersetzen und im konfig.ac ENGLISH auf ON
  28. setzen.

  30. Die deutsche Dokumentation im Amigaguide-Format sowie die Italienische und
  31. französische Anleitung bezieht sich auf Version 2.1, aber seit der Version
  32. hat sich nicht besonders viel geändert.  Im Zweifelsfalle das deutsche oder
  33. englische ASCII-File "Anleitung.txt" bzw "Documentation.txt" zu Rate
  34. ziehen.

  41. Amicom is a quite simple, yet extremely stable and fast program for amateur
  42. Packet Radio operation.  It is probably also suited for CB Packet Radio.

  44. It requires either a TNC with WA8DED compatible Hostmode or KISS-mode or a
  45. BayCom compatible modem.

  50. You cannot run AmiCom directly from this CD-ROM, because it expects a
  51. configuration file in the program directory. Copy the files to your hard
  52. disk and in the file

  54.     konfig.ac

  56. change at least the settings for MYCALL and the driver you wish to use
  57. (HOST.drv, KISS.drv or BayCom.drv).

  59. Also be sure to have the serial Baudrate set correctly. Change all other
  60. Parameters to suit your needs. See main documentation for details.

  62. The standard help file is in German and Englisch. To get French or Italian
  63. texts, replace the help.ac file in the program directory with the one from
  64. the Doc/Francais or the Doc/Italiano file and set ENGLISH to ON in the
  65. konfig.ac file.

  68. documentations refer to Version 2.1 of AmiCom, but not much has changed
  69. since that version.  If in doubt, refer to the German or English plain
